TAO has the entire pivot area inlaid with ultra smooth polymer. This eliminates metal to metal contact keeping the shear feeling and moving like new while also extending the life of the pivot area by avoiding any grinding down of metal so that your shears don't become imbalanced. The tension system employs sealed ball bearings to stabilize the blades to roll open smoothly and further extend the life of the shear.
